About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing Officer to join our team at Bernicia. As a Housing Officer, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and support to individuals who are struggling to pay their rent and facing financial difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information to customers regarding their accounts and the range of payment options available to them.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely contact with customers and signpost them to appropriate agencies for specialist debt and benefit advice.
- Work closely with customers to understand their financial situations and provide personalized support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of customer issues.
Requirements
- Experience in a Housing Management environment with a comprehensive knowledge of Housing legislation.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
