Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children's Home
Job Summary:
Fevaca is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in Ipswich. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services within our children's home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Registered Manager: Assist the Registered Manager in ensuring the overall service delivered within the children's home meets the required standards.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise, support, and manage staff within the home, including completing appraisals and identifying developmental goals and training opportunities.
- Client Care: Ensure the needs of children are met, and the environment is positive and safe.
- Interagency Working: Develop and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, including social work teams, police, and housing organizations.
- Reporting: Work with the Registered Manager to deliver monthly statistical data and ensure accurate and timely reporting to organizations such as OFSTED.
- Legislation and Policy: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and adhere to FEVACA policies.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with vulnerable children in a residential environment.
- Skills: Good written and verbal English, report writing, and assessment skills.
- Personal Qualities: Positive and non-judgmental value base, ability to demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.
