About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Fevaca. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Care
    • Develop and implement support plans to promote the development of children and young people
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients, including the management of risk and crisis situations
    • Work with clients to identify and achieve their goals and aspirations
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the Registered Manager and other stakeholders
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise and support staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
    • Conduct regular appraisals and performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting their goals and objectives
    • Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet client needs
  • Interagency Working
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, including social services, police, and other stakeholders
    • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support
    • Represent Fevaca at external meetings and events
  • Reporting and Compliance
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to regulatory bodies, including Ofsted and local authorities
    • Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services
    • Or equivalent qualification
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years' experience of working with vulnerable children in a residential environment
    • Experience of managing staff and completing supervision and appraisal processes
    • Experience of managing budgets and resources
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children's Homes Regulations 2015
