The Federation of Small Businesses-2 is committed to supporting small businesses in the UK. We are seeking an experienced Data and Privacy Manager to inform and advise on data security, data protection, and GDPR. This is a key role that requires the management of information governance and data accountability frameworks, project support, training and development, and line management.

About the Role

This position involves monitoring and advising on FSB's compliance with data protection law and good practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working within a data privacy and compliance environment, with knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act, and PECR in practice as well as cyber security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing data and privacy policy and practice throughout FSB in line with relevant laws and ICO guidance
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to FSB policy and procedure
  • Developing/enhancing the information security and personal information management systems (ISMS and PIMS)
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in data privacy and compliance
  • Management of data and privacy issues in a large, multisite organization
  • Reporting to Board level stakeholders
