Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Store Operations Manager to lead our Ashford store. This role involves overseeing operational excellence and financial performance, using responsible business practices and adhering to company policies.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a team of dedicated chocolate advisors towards achieving retail plan goals.
- Ensure operational excellence and financial performance through effective management.
- Embody the Lindt brand with passion, creating a team of brand ambassadors who deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Support a collaborative environment by sharing knowledge and encouraging teamwork.
Sales and Profitability
- Utilize business tools and good judgment to drive and exceed sales and profit targets.
- Track store KPIs, identifying opportunities and risks with clear action plans.
- Align with line manager on action plans from store performance reviews.
- Provide monthly feedback on opportunities for key trading periods.
- Manage store expenditure and cost budgets through monitoring P&L and optimizing staffing.
Operational Excellence
- Create a self-disciplined culture focused on flawless execution of processes and procedures.
- Implement and manage audit and loss prevention controls for inventory, cash reconciliation, deliveries, etc.
- Complete online Health and Safety tools and ensure compliance in all areas.
- Ensure operations, processes, and systems run smoothly and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Educate team members on best practices and escalate issues when necessary.
Premium Visibility and Communication
- Create and empower a team of Lindt brand ambassadors who deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Embrace the Global Retail Mystery Shop program to recognize strengths and share best practices.
- Execute in-store marketing activities and visual merchandising plans to company standards.
- Stay informed of current trends and contribute to weekly Competitor Watch of the local market place.
Leading for an Inspiring Place to Work
- Inspire a shared vision by communicating clear goals and fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop skills and capability in the store team, empowering them to meet their goals.
- Develop active Performance Development Plans focusing on what and how.
- Conduct monthly 1-2-1s with feedback and coaching style guidance.
- Hold active career conversations leading to clear succession planning.
- Recruit passionate individuals who complement the team and embody the Lindt brand.
- Develop line management skills and resolve performance issues in a timely manner.
Candidates Requirements
- Proven management experience within a retail organization, preferably with a love for the industry.
- Proven track record of creating high-performing teams, including people leadership skills.
- Numerate with good analytical and IT skills.
- A highly motivated self-starter with a drive for results.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- An infectious can-do attitude, ready to try new things and enthuse everyone you meet.
