Chaplaincy and Community Development Officer

- Provide guidance on faith/belief systems, offering advice, pastoral care, and spiritual welfare to prisoners, staff, and their families as requested.
- Plan and lead worship/meditation, prayer, and faith/belief-specific meetings.
- Facilitate and deliver opportunities for worship/meditation, study, and religious programs.
- Contribute to the development of local policy, procedures, and practice.
You will also be responsible for providing pastoral care to prisoners, helping to resolve crisis situations, nurturing chaplaincy volunteers in their contribution, representing the chaplaincy team at establishment meetings, committees, etc., actively supporting the Assessment, Care in Custody and Teamwork (ACCT) process, and attending relevant boards/meetings and contributing as chair or team member.
