Operations Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Controller to join our team at AB Volvo. As an Operations Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless coordination and efficiency of our service process.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage the GVS process from planning to invoice/claim closure.
  • Ensure that CSR's and Technician Supervisors adhere to the standard OTI process.
  • Manage customer expectations, job profitability, and workshop productivity targets.
  • Review and analyze operational issues/discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and plan workshop/support resources to meet OTI process requirements.
  • Support the CSR/Workshop Supervisor in specification/codification and quoting preparation tasks.
  • Assist in the management of invoice/claim closure tasks and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Hold daily production meetings to plan workload and resources.
  • Anticipate production problems and provide proactive support.
  • Monitor staff performance and identify areas for development.
  • Perform periodic competence assessments and provide training and support as needed.
  • Manage and process productive wage submissions and lost/non-available hours.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the motor vehicle industry, preferably with a technical background.
  • Full knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual.
  • Knowledge of workshop KPI and leadership skills.
  • City and Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Technology.
