Our integrated service offering also includes technical specialized SaaS, due-diligence, asset inspections, testing, and insurance brokerage. WPO currently operates across 13 European countries through 48 offices or service points.
We are seeking an experienced Operational Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling, monitoring, and maintaining records of access to and from wind farm sites, thereby minimizing the risk of accident, injury, or illness by operating in accordance with Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and have a strong understanding of wind energy. They will also be comfortable working nights and weekends as part of a 24-hour shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operation and continual development of the Operational Control Systems
- Transfer of Control of the Wind Turbine Generator Plant and/or LV Apparatus
- Ensure that only Competent Persons are approved and permitted for working on the Wind Farm
- Ensure that required H&S documentation is in place and recorded by OC for all on-site work prior to commencement
- Act as Emergency contact on all Operational sites in the event of an Emergency
- Control work orders for routine and non-routine turbine work
- Assist the H&S Department to ensure that training records and medical records are up to date
- Assist the H&S Department in the organisation and compilation of site safety documentation
- Using the different Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) SCADA's to monitor and remotely control/operate WPO managed assets across Ireland, UK, and Europe
- Liaise with the various OEM's, Distribution Network Operator's, and communication providers to ensure efficient operation of these assets
