Arthur Recruitment is working with a leading Insurer to find a skilled Financial Crime Officer to join their team.
This role is ideal for insurance compliance professionals currently working in a financial crime position or those with a strong interest in regulatory updates and developments looking to expand their skill set by increasing their sanctions and financial crime expertise.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting in-depth analyses of all sanctions queries and referrals from various areas of the business and providing recommendations to the Risk & Compliance Manager and the wider organization.
- Presenting and gathering management information to the Global Head of Financial Crime and Risk & Compliance Manager EMEA, including assessments of third-party entities and high-risk clients.
- Assisting with the performance of risk assessments on new trading partner relationships to identify any sanctions and AML concerns.
- Supporting the Financial Crime and general Compliance-related projects, providing assistance to manage and deliver these projects in a timely manner.
- Maintaining all relevant financial crime logs.
- Staying up-to-date with the business and current international regulatory and compliance initiatives to ensure local regulatory compliance requirements are met for a firm of our size and sector.
- Supporting the issuance of financial crime training and awareness initiatives within the wider organization.
- Applying a pragmatic and commercial approach to understanding and applying regulatory requirements.
