Financial Crime Investigator

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Crime Investigator to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As a Financial Crime Investigator, you will play a critical role in investigating and prosecuting financial crime cases, ensuring that individuals and firms are held accountable for their actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex investigations into financial crime cases, including fraud, money laundering, and market abuse.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including lawyers, accountants, and other investigators, to gather evidence and build cases.
- Develop and implement effective investigation strategies, taking into account the complexity of the case and the resources available.
- Prepare and present evidence in court, as well as provide expert testimony.
- Work closely with other teams, including enforcement and policy, to ensure that investigations are aligned with the FCA's overall strategy and objectives.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in financial crime investigations, preferably in a regulatory or law enforcement environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
