Job Summary

The Regional Sales Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within existing accounts and developing new business opportunities in a specific geographical region. This role will manage and own all sales activities, ensuring quality and consistency of product and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and executing plans to acquire new customers and expand into new markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to address gaps.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, using this information to inform sales strategies and improve market position.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of WernerCo's products and services, using this knowledge to effectively communicate value to customers and drive sales growth.
  • Travel extensively within the region and across the UK, as needed, to meet with customers and prospects.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and tactics, with a proven track record of driving sales growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and develop plans to improve performance.
  • Valid full driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrable technical experience, preferably in a sales or business development role.
  • Strong understanding of WernerCo's products and services, with a passion for the company and its mission.
