Sensory Integration Occupational Therapist Wanted

We are recruiting an Occupational Therapist with expertise in sensory integration to join our team at Autism East Midlands. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing occupational therapy services that meet the needs of children and young people.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, and implement individualised interventions that address the sensory needs of pupils. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and deliver sensory diets and programmes that enhance learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify sensory needs and develop intervention plans
  • Delivering high-quality sensory integration interventions that promote learning and participation
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement whole-school approaches to sensory integration
  • Providing guidance and support to teaching staff on strategies to adapt lessons for pupils with sensory needs
  • Participating in regular meetings to review progress and adjust intervention plans as needed
