Job Summary

Primary Integrated Community Services (PICS) is a leading provider of healthcare services, and we are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality care to patients with mental health concerns. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. The ability to take a lead role in completing autonomous advanced assessments, triage and treatment of acute and chronic presentations for patients with mental health concerns attending primary care.
  2. To help patients identify their needs and make shared decisions about management using current evidenced based practice.
  3. Liaise with Primary Care colleagues to ensure that all the patients needs are addressed.
  4. Support Primary Care colleagues development in the best treatment and onward management strategies by attending meetings, delivering educational sessions and supporting PCN Practitioners.

Requirements

  • HCPC registered
  • OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY QUALIFICATION AND REGISTRATION OR EQUIVALENT.
  • Experience working in Adult Mental Health
  • Completion of the First Contact Practitioner Module is required for the post once appointed, you will be supported by the clinical lead to develop your primary care skills to succeed on the module.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
