Job Overview

As a key member of the Brakes Finance team, the Finance Associate - Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the production, analysis, and development of accurate management reporting. This role will drive accountability and transparency across the business, guiding business decision-making and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidate Flash submissions and reconcile commentary for delivery to the Executive team and International stakeholders on a weekly basis.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports at various levels of detail for use across the business, including weekly and monthly dashboards and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.
  • Support month-end processes, including Workday reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to the budgeting, quarterly business review (QBR), and forecasting cycles, including cash flow and working capital forecasting and scenario planning.
  • Maintain high data integrity for business planning and analysis.
  • Support and facilitate project work, process improvement, and effective use of Workday.
  • Manage timetabling and communications with wider finance teams, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are successfully completed.
  • Foster personal development and promote cross-functional collaboration and understanding within the finance team.
About You

This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic background and excellent commercial acumen, currently training or looking to train in CIMA or ACCA in the future. You will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders and departments across the business. Your analytical skills will enable you to prioritize and manage different sources of information, driving results and maintaining professional and ethical standards.
