Bis Henderson Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our client's team in the Darlington area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional with a strong understanding of the waste sector to take on a key role in driving new business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the hazardous waste market, focusing on the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
  • Develop and manage a detailed new business pipeline, providing a clear forecast of expected volumes and sales revenues.
  • Produce regular reports to track current activity and forecast new business wins.
  • Collaborate with the depot and sales management teams to identify target sectors and locations for new business development.
  • Maintain accurate data within the CRM platform.
  • Liaise with commercial functions to share pipelines and best practices.
  • Support the tendering process and respond to requests for information.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the waste sector, with experience in selling hazardous waste services.
  • Understanding of waste industry legislation.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing new business services.
  • Excellent presentation, selling, negotiating, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in bid writing and responding to tendering documentation.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in building and maintaining customer relationships.
