Job Description

Position: HR Consultant - Case Management

Location: City of Edinburgh Council

Salary: £30,751 - £36,312

Hours: 36 per week

We are seeking an HR Consultant to join our HR Case Management Team. As an HR Consultant, you will provide advice and support to line managers on employee relation matters, with a focus on absence and wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their knowledge and experience of HR policies. You will have an HR generalist background within a unionised organisation, be an associate member of the CIPD or possess an equivalent HR Management qualification, and have a working knowledge of employee relations policies and current employment law practices.

You will have highly developed influencing and analytical skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will have autonomy to manage their own diary and casework.

We are changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach.
