Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the order taking and calling away of tables to ensure a smooth service.
  • Support the chef de rang in their duties and ensure the mise en place is correct for each course.
  • Assist the hostess/host in seating customers and take drink orders if the waiter is busy.
  • Explain the menu and specials to guests and take food orders, checking for allergies or intolerance.
  • Place orders on the system and ensure that bills are closed and handed over to the closing manager.

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage a team.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
  • Ability to work a varied shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
