Job Title: Head Waiter

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Waiter to join our team at Fundamental Hospitality. As a Head Waiter, you will be responsible for overseeing the dining room and ensuring that every guest has a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the dining room and ensure that all guests are satisfied with their experience.
  • Assist the hostess/host in seating guests and taking drink orders.
  • Take food orders and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
  • Work closely with the chef de rang to ensure that all orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the station and ensure that all equipment and supplies are in good working order.
  • Attend pre-service briefings to ensure that all staff are aware of the day's menu and any special events.
  • Monitor the dining room and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that all guests are satisfied.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Waiter or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits is an asset.
