About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our team at Howden Corporate & Commercial. As an Account Handler, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' insurance requirements, providing exceptional service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in achieving client retention targets by delivering outstanding service and support.
  • Liaise with Account Executives to develop and implement effective renewal strategies.
  • Conduct market exercises to identify competitive terms and negotiate renewal agreements.
  • Process renewals, mid-term adjustments, and premium collections in accordance with Howden procedures.
  • Handle client queries and correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
  • Record and maintain accurate client information and documentation on Acturis.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and reports using Howden templates.
  • Cross-sell products from other divisions and collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in dealing with SME or commercial clients.
  • Working knowledge of General Insurance and CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
  • Excellent technical insurance skills, with the ability to process work efficiently and accurately.
  • Strong client service skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
