Teaching Assistant with SEN Expertise

The Academics seeks an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEN expertise to join our team. In this role, you will work with children with complex needs and disabilities, including MLD, PMLD, physical needs, and SEN. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to pupils with SEN requirements, additional needs, or disabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support class teachers across multiple classes and conduct one-to-one teaching assistant work
- Deliver physical support, assist with communication and interpersonal skills, and implement sensory curriculum-based learning activities
- Prior experience working with children with a disability or SEN is essential
- Ability to perform personal care tasks, including changing and hoisting students
- Excellent communication skills to engage student attention and focus
- Foster happiness, self-reliance, and promote positive interactions
Requirements and Compensation:
This role requires relevant qualifications and experience in SEN education. We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, based on your level of experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
