Key Account Executive Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially minded Key Account Executive to join our On Trade channel in London. As a Key Account Executive, you will work with category-leading brands and be responsible for key independents and groups in London.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing approximately 250-300 outlets directly to deliver distribution and securing pouring agreements for the full Diageo portfolio.
  • Coordinating world-class activation delivered by a dedicated Activation Specialist for your city.
  • Playing a leadership role across the city team and ensuring all outlets in your zone are perfectly driven versus our predefined outlet execution standards.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Coordinating performance across the city, supporting roles within the city: Sales Executive, Quality Executive, Activation Specialist roles.
  • Securing distribution & pouring agreements across approximately 250-300 outlets for the full Diageo portfolio.
  • Delivering a strong return on investment through contractual agreements, managing spend and forecasting planned activity/spend with key customers throughout the year.
  • Delivering against a full-year annual operating plan (FY AOP) in line with our field sales ambition.
  • Developing customer relationships across the account base.
  • Determining who manages new business opportunities within the team.
  • Own the Route to Market (RTM) relationships for the city.
  • Accurately tracking and measuring in-outlet performance and execution levels (in CRM system where deployed).
  • Ensuring the quality and serve standard of Guinness Draught with the support of the Quality Executive within the city.

Qualities/Previous Experience Required:

  • On Trade experience in a similar sales/activation-led role or from the trade in outlet management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and route to markets.
  • Commercial competence in managing return on investment, forecasting, and investment decisions.
  • Knowledge of the city, the trade, and the RTM relationships.
  • Target-driven with a will to win, drive, appetite, and ambition to excel within an ambitious target-driven environment.
  • Team coach and mentor for the city team.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Agile and comfortable adapting and flexing workloads to accommodate business needs.
