Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Luxury Student Accommodation Mobilisation Expert to lead the opening of a new premium student accommodation.

This critical role involves overseeing the transition and handover of the building from the contractor, ensuring all systems, fixtures, and finishes meet quality standards. You will work closely with the construction and project management teams to ensure all snagging issues are resolved prior to operational handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building Handover
    • Oversee the transfer of ownership and operational readiness of the building, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address any technical or logistical challenges that may arise during the handover process.
  • Marketing & Leasing
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the property and attract high-quality residents.
    • Drive leasing efforts to achieve occupancy targets, working closely with sales teams and external marketing agencies to create engaging promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Operational Readiness
    • Ensure the building is fully operational and prepared for resident arrival, including setting up services, facilities, and amenities.
    • Coordinate with facilities management to test and commission all building systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Staffing and Training
    • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of the on-site operational team, including property managers, leasing agents, maintenance staff, and housekeeping.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure all staff are aligned with luxury standards and best practices.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure the building meets all regulatory requirements and industry standards, including health and safety, fire safety, and accessibility.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and implement appropriate compliance measures.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight
    • Manage the mobilisation budget, ensuring all costs related to marketing, leasing, and operational setup are within financial targets.
    • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of expenses and financial performance during the mobilisation phase.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including investors, contractors, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment throughout the mobilisation process.
    • Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management on key milestones and challenges.
    Requirements:
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management, property management, or similar roles within luxury residential, student accommodation, or hospitality sectors.
    • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing successful teams.
    • Experience in marketing, leasing, and operational readiness of new developments.
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
    • Strong understanding of compliance, health and safety regulations, and operational standards in the real estate sector.
    • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and reporting.
    Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
