About the Role

Kennedys is seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Administrator to join our Financial team based in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the Financial Operations team, contributing to the effectiveness of the Finance department by providing a comprehensive and efficient service to internal and external clients in order to achieve the business objectives of the Firm and the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the credit control team in managing aged debt lists, identifying bills that can be chased, and ensuring timely communication with debtors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of statements and reminder letters to debtors.
  • Update and maintain the credit control database with current activity summaries.
  • Provide administrative support to the billing, database, and cashiering teams as needed.
  • Assist in producing and sending daily cash reports, and checking and sending out daily cash receipts.
  • Investigate unidentified cash and allocate it to the correct payers.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a finance environment is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Recent experience in Excel is required, with daily work carried out using this software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
