Are you a finance expert with a strategic mindset, capable of leading a finance team while collaborating with various departments on financial planning, analysis, and budgeting?
Charity People is excited to partner with a prominent national charity to fill the newly established position of Finance Operations Manager. The organization is experiencing significant growth, with an income of £12 million. In this role, you will work closely with and report to the Director of Operations, overseeing finance operations, managing a Head of Finance, and their three direct reports. You will also be an integral part of the charity's extended leadership team.
Salary: £65,500 - £70,000 per annum + 8% employer pension contributions
Contract: 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent
Hybrid: Flexible home working, with office attendance approximately once a week
This is a remarkable opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding charity. Candidates for this position must possess experience in strategic financial planning and the development of financial strategies. You will also be tasked with enhancing and optimizing our financial systems and their integration with other organizational systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the three-year financial plan and related financial modeling
- Create and implement the financial strategy that supports the three-year plan
- Oversee all financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash management
- Lead the finance department, providing effective management and team support, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance with statutory requirements
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance and Company Secretary to prepare and file statutory accounts and related reports
- Prepare Trustee Reports that analyze performance and assess risks
- Work with Department Heads and Directors to develop budgets and reports, tracking key performance indicators
- Support KPI reporting across the organization
Required Qualifications:
- A recognized CCAB qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)

- Strong understanding of Restricted and Unrestricted funds
- Experience in managing and empowering finance teams
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence
