Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage procurement processes for various Information Technology goods and services.
  • Evaluate bids and proposals, analyzing specifications, terms and conditions, and cost elements.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with state procurement laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal clients to develop specifications, requirements, and justifications.
  • Process end-user purchase requisitions, selecting vendors in compliance with procurement policies.
Requirements

To be successful as a Technology Procurement Specialist, you will need:

  • Considerable knowledge of governmental procurement principles, practices, and methods of procurement.
  • Extensive experience with public procurement, contracting laws, and state regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply research techniques, analyze data, and develop reports.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Exchange/Outlook.
