About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Frailty and Geriatrics to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, particularly those with frailty and geriatric conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of Frailty and Geriatric Medicine services, ensuring alignment with national guidelines and best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of education and training programs for healthcare professionals, focusing on Frailty and Geriatric Medicine.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
  • Engage in research and audit activities, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in Frailty and Geriatric Medicine.
Requirements
  • Professional qualifications in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Full GMC Registration and Specialist Registration in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Experience in Frailty and Emergency Department Pathways.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices in Frailty and Geriatric Medicine.
