Key Responsibilities- Brand Champion: Provide direction and vision to the wider business on the market, competitors, the consumer, and the brand to deliver year-over-year growth objectives.
- Category Expert: Contribute to the development of the UK brand strategy and actively lead the execution of plans working with cross-functional teams and agencies.
- Marketing Strategist: Support the delivery of agreed commercial targets by inspiring and engaging our customers and consumers, developing inspirational brand campaigns, launching new products, and managing product portfolios.
- Marketing Activations: Support the Senior Brand Manager on the development and implementation of marketing activities across all areas of the marketing mix, working collaboratively with Global teams and external agencies where needed.
- Brand Execution: Execute brand activation plans both in-store and online for each annual planning cycle in line with brand guidelines and across different retailers.
- Marketing Effectiveness: Constantly evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities, adjusting plans in line with learnings.
- Brand Asset Management: Identify and communicate local brand asset needs to the Global teams.
- Product Development: Contribute to the development of new product and portfolio strategy for the UK, leveraging consumer insights, including trends, innovation, consumer need-state, and retailer landscape.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with UK Supply Chain and Sales to ensure that all new product projects for brands/categories meet brand and business objectives, are delivered to a high standard, and on time.
- Brand Insights: Contribute to the development of brand and category insights utilizing sell-in, consumption, brand, and shopper data.
- Competitive Analysis: Maintain analysis of the competitive environment for both brand and retailer, identifying and communicating insights to the wider team and ensuring appropriate action is taken in response.
- Consumer Research: Manage consumer research to better understand brand equity performance and refine consumer strategy, understanding how best to engage, educate, and win our consumers, ensuring the outputs are reflected in the subsequent plans.
- Retailer Engagement: Collaborate with sales teams to actively engage key retailers, gaining alignment and participation in product and communication plans.
- Marketing Budget Management: Manage Brand marketing budget(s) to ensure that investment decisions proposed and implemented are rigorously assessed and reviewed in line with current business processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience: 1+ years' experience in a Brand Manager role and a passion and understanding for the FMCG or beauty category and UK retail environment.
- Marketing Expertise: FMCG or Beauty Marketing experience preferred.
- Campaign Experience: Relevant brand campaign marketing experience across all channels: ATL, BVOD, digital, social, and PR.
- Activation Experience: Understanding and experience of activation digital campaigns.
- Trade Experience: Trade/Customer marketing experience.
- Team Player: Team player with a collaborative attitude – willing to listen and adapt to different working styles while participating across the total brand.
- Ambitious Self-Starter: Ambitious self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-moving environment and the capacity to think creatively.
- Commercial Mindset: Commercial and leader mentality that is solution-focused.
- Strategic Thinker: Strategic thinker who is pragmatic and has good commercial awareness, analytical, and media/activation skills.
