About This Role

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Crisis Management & Business Continuity Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion.

Estimated Salary: £23,750 - £30,130 per annum.

Job Description

To manage a challenging workload with conflicting priorities, this will include delivering and testing response and recovery plans for
the council and external partners and to support colleagues to work collectively to this end.

This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

You will lead and facilitate Camden's initial response and support to emergency responders in relation to an incident, as well as identify, design and deliver projects that improve the councils and communities response to risks related to
emergency or business continuity incidents.

In addition, you will assess and develop training and exercising of Crisis Support Team and other Council staff in relation to their response roles.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and test response and recovery plans for the council and external partners.
  • Support colleagues to work collectively to achieve common goals.
  • Participate in the out of hours Duty Emergency Planning Officer rota.
  • Lead and facilitate Camden's initial response and support to emergency responders in relation to an incident.
  • Identify, design and deliver projects that improve the councils and communities response to risks related to emergency or business continuity incidents.
  • Assess and develop training and exercising of Crisis Support Team and other Council staff in relation to their response roles.
Qualifications
  • Detailed knowledge of emergency planning and business continuity.
  • Understanding of pan London and local government responsibilities and arrangements under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
  • Knowledge and experience of risk within the context of emergency planning and business continuity.
  • Knowledge of and ability to manage sensitive intelligence and information securely and safely.
Requirements
  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
