Job Title: Ecommerce Site Merchandiser

The Ecommerce Site Merchandiser will play a pivotal role in maximizing sales and improving visitor conversion across our ecommerce website and channels. This includes effective site merchandising, content planning, detailed data analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports to closely monitor site performance and identify key insights. Analyze performance metrics and provide deep dives into specific categories as necessary. Identify opportunities based on analysis of weekly sales performance and recommend strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Trading & Merchandising: Actively trade the website by analyzing current and historical sales data, responding to market trends, and making strategic recommendations for site enhancements. Develop and manage a product assortment strategy that aligns with global ecommerce goals for both .com and other digital platforms. Oversee product upload activities to ensure timely launches, coordinating with cross-functional teams to gather all required information.
  • Site Management & Presentation: Ensure products are correctly categorized and merchandised across the site to maximize sales and provide a seamless customer experience. Manage and update product detail pages, ensuring they reflect the sales strategy, product launch calendar, and customer insights. Regularly monitor inventory levels and update site merchandising based on availability, collaborating with warehouse, buying, and planning teams.
  • Pricing & Promotions: Prepare and manage seasonal markdowns and price lists, ensuring accurate and timely updates across the platform. Manage online price books and communicate any pricing changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Produce ad-hoc reports and post-analysis, such as end-of-month performance reports, to extract actionable insights from key activities. Conduct regular web analytics reviews, optimizing the conversion funnel through site navigation, A/B testing, sales promotions, and AI-driven features.
  • Customer Experience: Oversee the customer journey and proactively identify areas for improvement to optimize user experience and enhance conversion rates. Collaborate with Ecommerce production teams to monitor product deliveries, photo shoots, and sample workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams including buying, merchandising, marketing, social media, inventory, and customer service to ensure alignment with ecommerce strategies. Ensure effective collaboration across regions, currencies, and time zones, supporting the global ecommerce strategy
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in an ecommerce site merchandising role.
  • Proven experience with CMS tools within an ecommerce platform (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento, Hybris, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in web analytics tools and BI systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience in managing product and category assortment within an ecommerce setting.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and ecommerce pricing strategies.
  • Proven track record of building collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with global ecommerce markets, working across multiple regions, currencies, and time zones.
