Mental Health Practitioner for Children and Young People in Primary Care

At NELFT NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Primary Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing holistic mental health services to children and young people in our Primary Care Network.

The successful candidate will have a professional qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, psychology, or occupational therapy, and will have experience working in primary care and CAMHS. They will be able to work autonomously, manage complex caseloads, and demonstrate safe clinical decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include promoting better understanding and knowledge of mental health and wellbeing within primary care, providing specialist assessment and evidence-based interventions, and facilitating seamless transitions into other mental health services. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with CAMHS services, CYP, and their families to support shared decision-making and promote recovery and self-care.
