About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Probation Service Officer to join our team in the Isle of Man Government. As a Probation Service Officer, you will play a vital role in keeping the community safe by assessing, managing, and supporting offenders in the community and in custody to reduce the risk of re-offending.

This is a challenging role that requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and work with discretion, diplomacy, and sound judgment. You will work with offenders in the community as part of their court sentences and undertake intervention work to reduce re-offending.

We offer a competitive salary that increases each 12 months until you reach the salary maximum. You will also receive annual leave starting from 21 days, a Privilege Day, and 10 Bank Holidays, which will increase after your first year and again after your third year.

We have a flexi-time scheme where you can accrue additional time worked to take as leave. You will also have access to the Learning, Education, and Development training facility, which is exclusively for Public Service employees, to keep on top of your continuous professional development.
