Join our friendly team at the Office of Human Resources as a Payroll Officer

As the largest employer on the Island, the OHR Payroll Team work hard in the background ensuring that the pay for over 10,000 IOM Government employees is processed correctly and on time.

The role is varied, challenging and fast-paced. You’ll fluctuate between administration, customer service and problem solving. On a daily basis you’ll input payroll changes, handle colleague queries and work with our internal partners including the Tax Office and the Public Sector Pensions Authority. We also work closely with teams across the wider Office of Human Resources (OHR) such as recruitment, employment changes and business partners.

A keen eye for detail is important as understandably accuracy is of paramount importance in this role. We’re looking for someone who is customer focused and works in an organised manner. You’ll handle queries in a positive, caring and sensitive manner that is reflective of our critical HR Service.

As Payroll is a central service, you'll be able to work closely with managers and staff from across the whole of the Public Service. Payroll is also part of the Office of Human Resources (OHR), so you'll have the opportunity to work with colleagues from across HR Advisory, Recruitment and Employment Changes. We're a big, friendly team in OHR and there's always lots going on, from lunch and learn sessions about different HR topics, to office quizzes and team nights out.

A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
