Administrative Accounting Professional

We are looking for an experienced Administrative Accounting Professional to join Quest Employment's team in Skegness, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing office and client ledgers, ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting and reconciliations.
Key Accountabilities:- Ensure accurate and up-to-date office and client ledgers through regular maintenance and verification.
- Comply with Solicitor Accounting Rules to guarantee high-quality financial data and maintain regulatory requirements.
- Regularly reconcile bank statements and petty cash against invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Work collaboratively with HR and external accountants to process monthly staff salaries, including mileage payments, and provide guidance on accounting procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective control systems for filing, electronic records, and reporting to optimise operational efficiency.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports for Senior Directors, enabling informed strategic decision-making.
- Support VAT returns with Finance and external accountants, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Effectively manage payment requests, ensuring timely processing and authorisations to meet business needs.
- Verify staff billing accuracy and offer support and guidance on accounting procedures as required.
- Oversee Purchase Ledger payments, working closely with HR for approvals and maintaining high levels of accountability.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and third parties, handling foreign transfers as necessary.
- Process client payments efficiently, both in-person and by phone, and manage bank deposits throughout the week.
