About the Role

As a Workshop Engineer / Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Engineer at Verto People, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop in Staffordshire. You will be responsible for providing service, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines, pumps, and related products, as well as inspecting and testing rental equipment returned to branch.

The successful candidate will have experience fitting and servicing industrial mechanical engineering products, including pumps, engines, motors, gearboxes, valves, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, generators, or other similar mechanical engineering products. A good mechanical engineering background and an engineering qualification of NVQ Level or higher are essential requirements for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and repair diesel engines, pumps, and related products at our workshop in Staffordshire.
  • Inspect and test rental equipment returned to branch, including fault finding and diagnostic work of pumps, engines, and related ancillary products.
  • Ensure that all pump and engine products meet manufacturing specifications before leaving the workshop for delivery.
  • Complete technical documentation as work progresses.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments as required.
