Industrial Sales Professional

Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in North Birmingham/Stafford/Manchester/Sheffield. This field-based role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, with the potential for additional earnings up to £55,000.
About the RoleThis challenging position involves promoting welding equipment and solutions to UK distributors and end-users. You will work closely with the UK Field-Based Sales Team to enhance business opportunities and liaise with international colleagues to drive growth.
- Business development for welding equipment in defined territories
- Promotion of welding propositions to UK distributors
- Promotion of welding solutions to the UK's end-users
- Direct contact with distributors and end-user customers
- Liaising with all team members, including international colleagues
- Working closely with the Divisional Manager to implement agreed strategies
- Visiting and enhancing relationships with defined customers
- Performing demonstrations of industrial machines to achieve sales
- Promoting and presenting products to distributors and end-user customers and prospects
- Presentation/business relationship building/sales of machinery, accessories, and consumables
- Acquiring and maintaining expert knowledge of industrial welding equipment
- Providing technical advice to new and existing customers
- Troubleshooting to support customers nationally via telephone/email or onsite visits
- Providing training for customers at client sites
- Business development and customer retention
- Providing technical training to internal sales staff/after-sales and customer services internally
- Attending customer trade shows and open days
- Providing close feedback to Research & Development teams on site
- Factual feedback on competitor information
- Report writing
We are looking for candidates with a background in industrial technical field sales, preferably within the tooling industry. Previous sales experience is essential, as is excellent presentation and communication skills.
