Quantitative Policy Research Specialist

RAND Europe is a renowned research institute dedicated to shaping sound policies through rigorous analysis. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Research Analyst to join our team in Cambridge.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled researcher with expertise in quantitative methods, particularly randomised controlled trials (RCTs), quasi-experimental design (QED), and survey analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in setting out statistical analysis methods used across evaluations to understand the impact and effectiveness of interventions and policies.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment research and knowledge of key research funders in these fields. They will be responsible for the design and analysis of impact evaluations, including regressions, multi-level models, difference-in-differences, with minimal supervision. They will also lead quantitative elements of studies, manage projects with minimal supervision, and report quantitative analysis and findings to policymakers.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant field, such as economics or social policy. They should have experience in using statistical software packages like Stata or R to analyse data. Additionally, they will need to be comfortable working with large datasets, have excellent communication skills, and be able to effectively present complex research findings to various audiences.
What We Offer
RAND Europe offers a competitive salary range of £50,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including pension, 33 days holiday allowance, annual salary review, BUPA medical insurance, and more.
