Telephone Business Development Manager - Maternity Leave Cover

As a key member of the West One Loans team, you will be responsible for creating and managing relationships with intermediaries in your allocated region. Your focus will be on promoting our products to new and lapsed businesses, as well as handling key account management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To establish and maintain strong relationships with introducers to achieve new business targets.
  2. Support Business Development Managers with all mortgage and loan case management for broker partners and accounts.
  3. Identify suitable firms to work with regional Business Development Managers.
  4. Ensure accurate and timely reporting/CRM system updates, recording discussions/activities.
  5. Contact potential new brokers for introductory business.
  6. Ensure our products remain top-of-mind and that intermediaries are updated about new products and features.
  7. Engage with introducers and handle new business enquiries.
  8. Pass internal competency tests post induction.
  9. Ability to multitask to meet SLA's.
  10. Confidence to pursue leads and overcome objections.
  11. Excellent call handling, listening, and influencing skills.
  12. Ability to analyze and present complex information in a clear, relevant, and interesting way.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience in a sales role would be highly desirable.
  2. Able to build successful relationships.
  3. Literate with a good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  1. Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a drive to succeed and deliver results.
  2. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Proactive team player - ability to work on own initiative, solo and as part of a team.
