Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team at Rosebank House, a 24-hour specialist care and support service for individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining good food storage procedures, and preparing, planning, and cooking meals to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our service users.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure seamless food service and minimize waste.
- City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) Basic Food Preparation Cooking qualification.
- Basic Food Hygiene certification (essential).
- Intermediate Food Hygiene certification (desirable).
- Previous experience in a similar environment, preferably in a care or support setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- An annual salary of £25,740.
- The equivalent of 33 days annual leave, plus your birthday off.
