Job Overview:

BAE Systems seeks a highly skilled Digital Engineering Transformation Lead to drive the delivery of its Airworthiness Future Capability programme. As part of this initiative, you will be responsible for overseeing the integration of digital technologies into existing engineering practices, ensuring seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams. Your primary objective will be to exploit emerging trends and innovations to enhance product design and certification processes.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital engineering principles, model-based systems engineering, and certification standards (e.g., DEFSTAN). Experience in leading virtual teams and influencing stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes is also crucial. In addition, you will need to possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into actionable recommendations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a collaborative mindset, will enable you to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish and deliver engineering activities aligned with the Digital Engineering transformation
- Collaborate with Engineering teams and subject matter experts to influence individual performance
- Exploit learning across Air and other BAE Systems Units, as well as the broader industry
- Coordinate activities with other leads on Digital Engineering transformation
- Assist/advising on the development of toolset options and implementations
