This is a challenging opportunity to work within our Air Business, providing product safety, product environmental sustainability, and product security engineering resource to all programmes across the business. As an Initial Airworthiness domain specialist, you will be working in areas such as development of the future 6th generation fighter, technological advancements in autonomy, artificial intelligence, and product integrity data linking into the digital engineering environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop an optimum certification approach for new and novel technologies and ways of working.
  2. Identify proposals for changes to MRP Part 21 to ensure design organisation approvals reflect the Digital Engineering transformation.
Your Salary

GBP54,793 - GBP60,326 (Commensurate with skills and experience).

Your Required Skills:

Essential:
  1. Degree or HNC/HND or demonstrated experience in Airworthiness / Future Capability.
  2. Initial Airworthiness, Certification, Requirements Engineering (DEFSTAN).
  3. Model-Based Systems Engineering and related techniques, processes & tools (ISO 15288).
Desirable:
  1. Knowledge of Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Integration.
  2. Understanding of Safety Engineering processes, practices & tools.
