Job Title: Airworthiness Future Capability

A key opportunity exists within BAE Systems for a skilled Digital Engineering Transformation Lead to join our Air Business. As part of the Airworthiness and Product Integrity team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Digital Engineering transformation across all Air products. This is an exciting chance to make a significant impact on the development of future 6th generation fighter aircraft and other programmes.

**Salary:** GBP54,793 - GBP60,326 per annum, commensurate with skills and experience.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for establishing and delivering engineering activities aligned with the Digital Engineering transformation. You will work closely with Engineering teams and subject matter experts to collaborate across a virtual team, influencing individuals to deliver. Your tasks will involve exploiting learning across Air and other BAE Systems Units, as well as the broader industry, including regulators, customers, and suppliers. Additionally, you will coordinate activities with other leads on Digital Engineering transformation, assist/advising on the development of toolset options and implementations, and work alongside Engineering Teams and Regulatory Authorities to develop an optimum certification approach for new and novel technologies and ways of working.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a degree or HNC/HND in Airworthiness/Future Capability or a related field. Initial Airworthiness, Certification, Requirements Engineering (DEFSTAN) knowledge is also essential. Model-Based Systems Engineering and related techniques, processes & tools (ISO 15288) are highly desirable. Furthermore, positive behaviour, integrity, adaptability, courage, collaboration, and creativity are required.
