About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Therapy Specialist to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide evidence-based treatment for eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

As a CAMHS Senior Family Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and treating children with eating disorders using evidence-based therapies
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other professionals
  • Conducting research projects and audits to improve our service and outcomes for patients
  • Providing supervision and training to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession (e.g., social worker, nurse, psychologist) or AFT agreement
  • A Master's degree in Systemic Psychotherapy
  • Eligibility for UKCP registration
  • Further training in Systemic Supervision

In addition, you will have:

  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families in a hospital/paediatric psychology setting
  • Some experience of working with different service user groups
  • Experience of maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse, and threat of physical abuse
  • Experience of working in a family therapy team
  • Experience of delivering supervision
Salary and Benefits
