We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Shop Manager. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager in the day-to-day management of our shop, ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer service and achieve our sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Shop Manager in the day-to-day management of the shop, including managing stock deliveries and collections, cash handling, and recruiting, training, and motivating a loyal and committed team of volunteers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of retail strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure that the shop is always well-stocked, visually appealing, and meets the highest retail standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the wider Woodgreen team to promote our charity's work and values.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £23,400 pro rata per annum, working 8 hours a week on a flexible seven-day rota basis.
  • Pro rata equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays), rising by 1 day each year to 40 days after five years.
  • Up to 8% employer pension contributions.
