About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Neurodiversity Pathway team in Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of mental health support for children and young people in Devon.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the needs of neurodiverse children and young people.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and training to colleagues, families, and partner agencies.
  • Participate in team meetings and engage in development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in neurodiversity and mental health.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions, adhering to safeguarding protocols.

Requirements
  • Professional registration/accreditation with a recognized body, e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England, UKCP, BABCP.
  • Recognized qualification in evidenced-based therapeutic, mental health interventions for children/young people and their families/carers.
  • Substantial experience of managing a complex caseload and working with children/young people presenting with a range of mental health presentations.
  • Experience of delivering model-based psychological therapy.
  • Participation in user involvement in services.
