Health and Safety Lead Role

We are seeking a driven Health, Safety and Environmental Lead to join our team at Maintech Recruitment. As a key member of our global company, you will be responsible for promoting a safety-first culture across our multi-site operations in the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support staff in HSE Legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to produce risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Provide expert advice on risk management and health surveillance.
  • Conduct HSE audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and deliver HSE training to promote a culture of safety.

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 3 Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within the rail industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and embedding policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Ability to train and coach others effectively.
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills.
