About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technology Support Specialist to join our Integrated Telecare Monitoring Team. This rewarding role involves delivering high-quality assistive technology services that empower elderly and vulnerable individuals to live independently in their homes.

The successful candidate will work 17 hours a week over a minimum of 3 days, Monday- Friday, with flexible hours to fit around personal circumstances. Job Responsibilities

  • Assess Customer Needs: Conduct thorough assessments to determine suitable telecare equipment for each customer's unique environment.
  • Installation & Maintenance: Install, program, and maintain assistive technology equipment.
  • Demonstrate Equipment: Provide clear demonstrations on how to use the equipment, ensuring customers feel confident and supported.
  • Customer Support: Offer ongoing advice and support to customers and their families about assistive technology services.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate customer records and update reporting systems with appointment outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in providing care or support for older or vulnerable individuals.
  • Tech Knowledge: Familiarity with assistive technology equipment and ability to program and install it effectively.
  • Hand Tools: Ability to use and operate tools to install equipment (including power tools).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Time Management: Able to prioritise and manage workloads, working without direct supervision.
  • Driving License: Valid driving license and access to transportation are essential for this role.
