The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resettlement and Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing hostel-based services and coordinating support to rough sleepers with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and support vulnerable individuals to address their housing and employment needs
- Develop and implement personalized support plans to promote independence and self-sufficiency
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure seamless service delivery and effective case management
- Provide guidance and support to clients with complex needs, including those with mental health issues or substance abuse problems
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures
Requirements
- Relevant experience working with homeless populations or vulnerable individuals
- Strong understanding of the causes of homelessness and effective strategies for prevention and intervention
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of relevant legislation, including welfare benefits and housing law
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
