Crime Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Crime Support Specialist to join our team in North Yorkshire. As a Crime Support Specialist, you will work directly with adults and children who have been impacted by crime, assessing support needs and completing risk assessments, providing immediate and ongoing support and advocacy.

You will provide information to the victim about their rights as outlined in the Victim's Code of Practice and explain processes and act as single point of contact throughout the victim's journey in the criminal justice system.

You will develop relationships with other organisations who support victims of crime and be a self-starter with good organisational and time management skills, an excellent communicator, able to work across teams and with external agencies to achieve goals.

You will be comfortable working in a digital environment and be able to use a range of IT equipment and programs. You will have an understanding of crime and the impact it has on individuals and communities.

About the role:

This role is based in Harrogate, supporting victims living in the North Yorkshire area. You will work directly with adults and children who have been impacted by crime, assessing support needs and completing risk assessments, providing immediate and ongoing support and advocacy.
