Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Aspire People, a leading education recruitment agency, is working with a cluster of well-regarded SEN schools to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Assist students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to inform future support plans.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs or behaviour management are desirable.
