Outreach Teaching Assistant Immediate start Competitive rate of pay Full-time, long-term North London £80-100 per day Outreach teaching assistants are needed for a special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for students aged 8-19. As an outreach teaching assistant, you will be primarily supporting students with social, mental, or emotional health (SEMH) needs, but may also be supporting students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and other complex needs. As an outreach teaching assistant, you will be working with students who are unable to attend school on-site, supporting them either at home or in external settings. This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links. Being an outreach teaching assistant at this school, you will become a part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources. Outreach Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Working with and supporting students with SEMH, ASD and other complex needs. Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group. Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed. Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment. Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control. Assisting with lesson planning and delivery. Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students. Outreach Teaching Assistant Requirements: The right to work in the UK. A clear and up-to-date DBS. Experience working as a teaching assistant.
